How To Use Keychain Camera


RECORDING VIDEO

01. Insert the memory card at the given slot (expandable up to 16GB, The micro SD card should be inserted with the gold contacts facing up in the direction of the control button.Before inserting a micro SD card, make sure the card is formatted correctly. )
02. Place the Spy Keychain Camera where it will get a clear view and audio of what you want to record.
03. Press POWER ON/OFF BUTTON for 3-4 seconds till light on.
04. From standby mode, hold down the RECORD BUTTON for about 3-4 seconds. The LED will flash quickly 3 times and go out to indicate that the device has started recording.
05. To stop recording, press the RECORD BUTTON again and the device will return to standby mode.
06. Press POWER ON/OFF BUTTON to turn off.

TAKING PHOTO’S

01. Press POWER ON/OFF BUTTON for 3-4 seconds till light on.
02. To take a photo, press the RECORD BUTTON. The LED will blink once to indicate that a photo has been stored.
03. Press POWER ON/OFF BUTTON to turn off.

VIEWING YOUR FILES

To view your files on a computer, simply connect the device via the supplied USB cord with the micro SD card inserted into the device, making sure the device is powered Off. It will connect as a removable drive, and depending on the settings on your PC, it may automatically notify you that new hardware has been detected. If so, select Open Folder to View Files.

If it is not automatically detected, click Start on your desktop. Select My Computer if you are using Windows XP, or Computer if using Windows Vista or Windows 7. The device should be listed as a Removable Disk under the Devices With Removable Storage section.Open that drive, which will contain a folder called DCIM. Within the DCIM folder will be another folder named 100MEDIA. This folder will contain all your recorded files.

Spy Pen Camera Troubleshooting

Problem:When I plug the Video Spy Pen into the USB on my computer it does not automatically open.
Solution: Double click on the icon that appears when you connect the USB or browse your computer for new hardware.

Problem: The Video Spy Pen will not record.
Solution: You may have limited memory space left. Remove or delete files or reformat the pen's drive.The battery may be dead. Recharge the battery. Unit may need to be reset. Reset the unit.

Problem: The time is not accurate.
Solution: Depending on your operating system, you may need to manually add the .txt extension for the time function to work correctly.

Problem: When I plug the Spy Pen into the USB on my computer, the charging light does not come on.
Solution: Unit may need to be reset. Reset the unit.

Problem: When I press the ON/OFF button, the LED blinks briefly and then shuts off.
Solution: Remove or delete files or reformat the pen's drive.

How to Use Spy Pen Camera


GETTING STARTED SPY PEN CAMERA

Charge the internal battery before first use.
01. Turn off Video Spy Pen.
02. Unscrew the pen to reveal the USB.
03. Plug the USB into your computer's USB 2.0 port.
04. While the battery is charging, the working Status LED will blink yellow.
05. When charging is complete (3.5 hours), the light will revert toa steady blue.
06. Remove the USB from your computer.
IMPORTANT: Do not overcharge the battery. Battery should be completely charged in 3.5 hours. Do not leave the unit plugged in to the USB for more than 5 hours.

RECORDING VIDEO
01. Turn Mode switch to left side.
02. Place the Spy Pen Camera where it will get a clear view and audio of what you want to record.
03
. Press the RECORD ON/OFF BUTTON on the top of the pen for 5 seconds.
04. The working Status LED will illuminate amber and after 5 seconds will blink blue to indicate recording   has started.
05. While recording, you may want to save sections of video to the pen’s internal memory.
06. Press the RECORD ON/OFF BUTTON to save. Please note that the length of file recorded will affect the time it takes to save. The working Status LED will revert to yellow when saving is complete.
NOTE:
The Video Spy Pen cannot record while saving a file.

TAKING PHOTO’S
01. Turn Mode switch to right side.
02. Press power on/off button gently for 2 seconds.
03. Yellow light will appear on indicator.
04. After 3 to 4 seconds blue light will appear that means Super
Spy Pen is ready to take photo.
05. Click power on/off button to take photo. You can click power on/off button multiple times to take multiple photos.
06. To stop Photo mode press power on/off button again for 2 seconds.
07. Light will off from indicator means photo mode stopped.
 
PLAYING RECORDED FILES
01. Unscrew the pen to reveal the USB.
02. Plug the USB into your computer's USB port.
03. Locate the removable disk drive on your computer. The drive letter will vary by computer.
04. Open the folder to which you downloaded files ( DCIM folder).
05. Double click on the video you want to play. The video will open in Windows
07. You may then resume recording by pressing the RECORD ON/OFF BUTTON. The working Status LED will revert to blinking blue again to indicate it has begun to record again.
Note: If you press the REC ORD ON/OFF button for 5 seconds and the working Status LED light blinks 4 times and the unit shuts off, the memory is full.
